Paralyzed Teen Learns to Walk and Is Paralyzed Again
A sports-mad teenager who had to larn to walk again after hitting her head falling off a chair has been paralysed a second fourth dimension.
While going home from hospital with her family on the day she finished physio, Jade Almond, 16, was involved in a pike car crash.
The bear upon of the crash left Jade bed bound with 'the strength of a newborn baby'. She is now unable to sit up unaided.
The teenager, a one-time Wigan Able-bodied Ladies youth team goalkeeper, was originally hospitalised in July 2018 when her head injury left her unable to walk, concentrate properly and suffering with uncontrollable shakes.
Doctors diagnosed Jade with functional neurological disorder (FND) that needed intensive privately-funded physio.

Jade's family crowd-funded to pay £14,500 for seven months of physio, after which time the teen was delighted to be able to walk, run and dance.
She was filmed excitedly running upwardly stairs and jogging on a treadmill for the kickoff time before she was discharged on 21 February.
But on the way dwelling Jade, her mum Michelle Almond, sister Josie and ii friends were hit by another automobile on the M60.
Jade, from Abram, Greater Manchester, said: 'It's heartbreaking being in this position and knowing all that hard work has been undone.

Her legs gave way as she tried to go out of the car.
'On the day we were all so happy,' Jade said.
'That night I had a commercial and street dance form and was then excited to go for the first fourth dimension in ages.
'We had music on in the automobile, were singing along and just having a actually good time.
'I was talking to my friend when the crash happened and was facing left, I flew forward and banged my head and so again when nosotros stopped.

'My left arm was moving but when I tried to move my right arm it was just stuck.
'I tried to stand up getting out of the motorcar and I cruel to the flooring, my mum had to catch me.'

Jade said she thought she may have had an FND relapse and was in 'complete daze'.
She said: 'Yous couldn't make it upwards that on the solar day I left physio this happened.
'It was heartbreaking knowing all the hard piece of work had been undone.'
Jade was initially treated at Salford Royal Hospital before being transferred to the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary in Wigan, Greater Manchester.
Footage filmed since the accident shows how Jade is unable to sit upwards unaided and is forced to rely on mum Michelle to prop her up.
'Both my legs are really numb and weak and when I try to stand on them they merely collapse,' she said.
'My sitting balance has completely gone – my core and my neck are really weak – and I can't sit direct.
'It seems like I've lost all my strength, information technology's similar I've but got the strength of a baby.
'Even when I'm lying down I have to accept pillows under me or I fall to that correct side.
'It'south so frustrating not being able to move, all I want to do is get upwards and back to where I was or at to the lowest degree motility instead of just lying in a bed all day.'
The family, who spent thousands on her original treatment, are now fundraising again in the hopes Jade can take similar physiotherapy.
She said she is 'desperate' to get back to it because it worked then well the starting time time.
'The dream is to exist able to become back to football game, dancing and acting – I merely desire a normal life back,' Jade said.

What is FND?
Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) is a mutual and disabling cause of neurological symptoms.
People with FND tin feel a wide variety of symptoms including:
